Judo Western Australia (Inc.) will conduct a 1st Kyu and Dan-grade exam on Sunday, the 22nd of January, 2006.
In preparation for this exam we have organised a Kata Course
to be held on the following dates: |

All Judo WA members (including current/former WAKJA members) with a 2nd Kyu (Blue Belt) or higher are invited to attend the Kata course. This Kata course is meant as a preparation for the 1st Kyu and Dan grade exam that will take place on the 22nd of January 2006. Participants are expected to have a good understanding of the Nage-No-Kata prior to attending this course. Please note that this course is not meant for Judokas that are just starting out to learn the Katas. The basics of Kata are meant to be taught at club level by a qualified coach. The Kata Course fee is $40 for the full four times two hour course. This fee applies to all participants (including observers) and is to be paid in full at the first session that they attend. No refund will be given for missed sessions. |

1st Kyu and Dan grade exam Fees 1st Kyu and Dan grades exams are graded by a panel of qualified examiners as per the requirements for grading. All other Kyu grades are examined by the club coach. The exam fees are:
If you intend to do an exam on the 22nd of January, you must register your interest before the 16th of December 2005. You can do this by contacting the JWA Grading Director, Mr. Carlo Knoester Exam fees must be paid in full no later than the 8th of January 2006. Please send a cheque for the appropriate amount to: Judo Western Australia (Inc.), 81 Anglesey Drive, Kardinya, WA 6163. In addition, the Grading Application form must be completed and submitted no later than the 8th of January 2006. Please send your form to the JWA Grading Director, Mr. Carlo Knoester, 10 Oakmont Turn, Connolly, WA 6027. Alternatively, contact the JWA treasurer for details on how to transfer funds directly into our bank account. |
