SUMMARY:Practical Referee Course
DESCRIPTION:Judo WA is pleased to invite referees of all levels to attend an upcoming Practical Referee Course delivered by Judo WA Referee Committee Chair\, Celeste Knoester.Celeste is an international-level referee currently active on the IJF World Judo Tour\, bringing extensive experience from officiating at high-level international competitions.The course is suitable for aspiring and emerging referees\, experienced officials\, coaches and anyone interested in improving their understanding of judo refereeing.A minimum age of 10 years and minimum grade of orange belt are recommended for participants.Course ProgramThe morning will consist of a theory session covering the rules of judo\, referee positioning\, decision-making and how to manage a contest effectively.Following the lunch break\, participants will take part in a practical session focused on refereeing contests in real time.
