Judo Western Australia is proud to announce its new strategic plan for 2023-2028, which aims to ensure that all aspects of Judo governance, inclusivity, participation, and performance are of the highest standard for the benefit of members.

The new strategic plan is centred around four pillars: Participation, Workforce, Organisational Sustainability, and Athlete Pathways. Each pillar comprises objectives, strategies, and tactics that will guide the development and growth of Judo in Western Australia over the next five years.

The Participation pillar will focus on responsibly increasing participation, membership recruitment and retention, and promoting inclusivity through integrated programs in regional and metro areas. The Workforce pillar will strive to develop and retain a highly skilled and motivated workforce by providing opportunities for the judo community to realise their potential. The Sustainability pillar will aim to ensure the long-term financial and operational sustainability of Judo in Western Australia through robust financial management, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of events. Lastly, the Athlete Pathways pillar will provide clear and accessible pathways for athletes to progress from grassroots to elite-level judo through a structured program and high-quality coaching.

“We are thrilled to launch this new strategic plan, which will shape the future of Judo in Western Australia,” said Jacob Read, CEO of Judo Western Australia. “Our vision is to be a sporting organisation that is inclusive, accessible, ethically driven, and operates with integrity, and we believe that this plan will help us achieve this goal.”

Judo Western Australia invites members, partners, and the wider community to join them in their mission to grow and develop the sport in Western Australia.
