Members Announced for 2021-2022 Sporting and Events Committee, Grading Committee, and Referee Committee

Judo WA is pleased to announce the appointment of members to the 2021-2022 Sporting and Events Committee, Grading Committee, and Referee Committee.

 

The Sporting and Events Committee’s purpose is to: ensure the smooth delivery of Judo Western Australia events in WA which comply with standards required by the sport and local legislation; maintain, review and update the Judo WA Sporting Code as required; and to deliver the Judo WA State Championships and Perth International Open.

 

The Sporting and Events Committee comprises:

  • Simon Read – Chair
  • Marlee Mickle
  • Celeste Knoester
  • David Robinson
  • Jacob Read

 

The Grading Committee’s purpose is to: ensure that Judo WA implements appropriate and regular opportunities for advancement within the sport; and to identify Committee Members and ensure compliance with grading requirements at all levels.

 

The Grading Committee comprises:

  • Carlo Knoester – Chair
  • Simon Read
  • Melissa Dennehy
  • Paul Kendrick

 

The Referee Committee’s purpose is to: ensure that referees in Western Australia are complying with and maintaining National Accreditation Standards; ensure appropriate implementation of the rules of judo by referees; provide WA members education about the rules of the sport; to maintain and increase the quality of referees in Western Australia.

 

The Referee Committee comprises:

  • Robert Tichelaar – Chair
  • Patrick Tichelaar
  • Celeste Knoester
