Everyone involved in judo has a role in upholding integrity.

Integrity is not only the responsibility of administrators or officials. Every person involved in judo — athletes, parents, coaches, referees, club volunteers and supporters — plays a part in creating a safe, respectful and fair environment.

What we expect

As a member or participant in judo in Western Australia, you are expected to:

  • Act in accordance with the Judo Moral Code and Judo WA policies
  • Treat others with respect, courtesy and fairness
  • Speak up if you witness behaviour that concerns you
  • Report integrity issues promptly and accurately
  • Cooperate with any complaint or investigation process
  • Complete relevant integrity education where required for your role

Unacceptable behaviour

Under the National Integrity Framework, unacceptable behaviour may include (but is not limited to):

  • Abuse, bullying, harassment or discrimination
  • Child abuse or failure to meet safeguarding obligations
  • Doping or improper use of drugs and medicine
  • Competition manipulation or sport gambling offences
  • Serious or repeated breaches of the Code of Conduct
