Family support matters
Parents & guardians
Support from parents and family has a positive impact on children’s motivation and enjoyment of sport and physical activity.
Physical activity is fundamental to the development of children and young people, which is why they should accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity every day.

Common questions
FAQ
What if my school does not offer a Judo in Schools program?
If Judo in Schools is not offered at your school, your child may still try judo by visiting one of our many local judo clubs in WA. Find your nearest judo club.
Is judo safe for children?
Judo is taught progressively with qualified coaches, appropriate equipment and a strong emphasis on respect, control and safe practice. Programs are designed to be inclusive and age-appropriate.
What should my child wear?
For school sessions, comfortable sports clothing is usually sufficient. Your school or coach will advise if additional equipment is required.
