On Sunday, 27 April, Judo WA proudly hosted its April Dan Grading, marking a significant milestone for two judoka as they advanced to the rank of 1st Dan (Shodan).
We are delighted to announce that Clement Chan and Benjamin Agurto, both from UWA Judo Club, successfully passed their Dan examinations. These achievements represent the culmination of years of dedication, technical refinement, and a deep commitment to the values of judo. Congratulations to both on this well-earned accomplishment.
Judo WA extends its sincere thanks to the Grading Committee and the official grading panel — Simon Read, Peter Woollons, and Paul Kendrick — for their continued leadership and professionalism in maintaining the integrity and standards of Dan gradings in Western Australia.
We look forward to seeing Clement and Benjamin continue to grow as judoka and role models within the WA judo community.
