Judo WA is pleased to share an exciting international opportunity for our community. In early September, the University of Western Australia (UWA), in collaboration with UWA Sport and UWA Judo Club, will host eight Indonesian University students who are also members of the Indonesian National Judo Team.

As part of the exchange, UWA Judo Club will open its doors to the wider WA judo community for a series of special training sessions with the visiting athletes. These sessions will provide a unique chance for local judoka to train alongside and test themselves against international-level judoka right here in Perth.

Venue: UWA Judo Club (Goldsworthy Rd, Claremont)

Open Session Schedule:

DateStart Time
Wednesday, 3 September 20256:30pm
Thursday, 4 September 20256:30pm
Friday, 5 September 20255:30pm
Saturday, 6 September 20254:00pm

The Indonesian team will also compete at the 2025 Perth International Open, featuring athletes across the following divisions:

  • Senior Women: Under 52kg, Under 57kg, Under 63kg, Over 78kg
  • Senior Men: Under 60kg, Under 66kg, Under 73kg, Under 100kg

This initiative represents a wonderful collaboration between UWA, UWA Sport, and UWA Judo Club, and is a rare opportunity for WA judoka to experience international judo without leaving the state.

Don’t miss your chance to step onto the mat with international athletes and be part of this exciting exchange!
