Developing judoka from across Western Australia are invited to express their interest in attending the 2026 WA Futures Camp, taking place at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp in Hillarys from Friday, 30 October to Sunday, 1 November 2026.
The three-day residential camp will bring together young athletes from Judo WA affiliated clubs for a weekend of high-quality judo training, athlete development, outdoor activities and team building.
Designed to support the next generation of WA judoka, the camp will provide participants with opportunities to develop their technical skills, challenge themselves through randori and physical activities, and learn more about goal-setting and athlete development.
Away from the tatami, participants will take part in outdoor and team-building activities while building friendships with judoka from clubs across the state. Accommodation and meals throughout the camp will be included as part of the program.
Who can submit an expression of interest?
The camp is open to judoka who:
- Turn between 13 and 20 years old during 2026
- Hold a minimum grade of orange belt
- Are current members of a Judo WA affiliated club
Judo WA is seeking expressions of interest to help determine likely attendance and tailor the camp program to the needs of this year’s participants.
Submitting an expression of interest is not a formal registration, does not require payment and does not commit an athlete to attending. Complete program, registration and payment details will be released following the EOI period.
Expressions of interest close on Sunday, 16 August 2026.
